Dr. Kosmas Ellinas (M) is Assistant Professor in applied physics in food science in the University of the Aegean and co-founder of the spin-off company of NCSR Demokritos called NANOPLASMAS P.C. founded in 2016. Nanoplasmas has an innovative plasma nanotexturing technology. This patented technology has been incorporated into microfluidic devices creating lab-on-chip diagnostics. Kosmas Ellinas has attracted more than 720k Euros funding during 2017-2023 and he has participated in 7 research projects with National, European as well as private funding (BIC & Huawei several as Pi or co-PI). He is the author or co-author in more than 38 publications and inventor or co-inventor in 4 patents.
